Women of Mishkan Or

Our Women of Mishkan Or (WMO) is an active group of women who further the highest ideals of Reform Judaism, promoting fellowship among its members, supporting and strengthening Congregation Mishkan Or, and promoting education, religious and social action programming. This organization furthers the mission of the Women of Reform Judaism, a collective voice and presence of women in congregational life across North America.  

NEW:  Monthly Rosh Chodesh series – Wednesday, December 11, 7-8:30 pm

There’s a beautiful Jewish ritual that invites women to gather, spend quality time together, and study on the first of each Jewish month known as Rosh Chodesh. Join Rabbi Dadoun for this monthly series, sponsored by the Women of Mishkan Or, as we meaningfully grapple with Jewish text, get to know one another and enrich our lives together.

This series will focus on Jewish rituals and from where they come. A nosh will be served so please RSVP to jchirshon@gmail.com and indicate in the subject line that it’s for Rosh Chodesh.

WMO Chanukah Dinner

Women of Mishkan Or are hosting a Chanukah Dinner for WMO members and guests on Tuesday, December 17, at 6 p.m. for a light dinner, music, and fun.  (Registration deadline is Dec. 10)

Cantor Laureate Sarah Sager and Cantor Kathy Sebo along with Rabbis Yael Dadoun and Elle Muhlbaum will lead us in song.  There is no cost but we ask that you bring a gift card from Walmart in any denomination to support the International Newcomers Academy, a Cleveland school for immigrant children in grades K-12. The cards will used to purchase items such as school supplies, food, and medicine or to assist with unexpected expenses. This project is in support of the Temple’s Giving Night of Chanukah.
