Mishkan Arts Opportunities

Build community through singing, playing musical instruments, taking photos, and more. Cantor Kathryn Wolfe Sebo invites you to exploreand experience new ways to be involved:

MISHKAN ARTS SINGERS:
Koleinu (Our Voices) is our congregational choir for adults and talented teens to sing together with fellow CMO members and members of the Jewish community
Kol Isha (Voice of a Woman) is a women’s choir open to Mishkan Or members
Shireinu (Our Songs) is our Youth Choir for students in grades 1-6. This is a wonderful way for our younger CMO members to sing together and build lasting friendships. Rehearsals are held on some Sundays after Limmud, and we’ll supply lunch!
All three choirs will participate at various Shabbat worship and other special performances.

INSTRUMENTALISTS:
KlezMor – is a teen Klezmer ensemble geared to students in grades 7-12.
KlezMor will be directed by Steve Greenman, a world-renowned performer and composer of klezmer music.
Rehearsals are held on some Sundays after Limmud, and we’ll supply lunch!
TKO – The Klezmer Orchestra – TKO, under the direction of Moss Stanley, provides an opportunity for instrumentalists to explore and enjoy the wonders of Klezmer music. 

OTHER ARTS OPPORTUNITIES
Photography Club – Our photography club is facilitated by master photographer Scott Gloger and photo enthusiast Bruce Gottlieb. For more information on their monthly meetings, contact Cantor Kathy Sebo at Ksebo@mishkanor.org.  

Mishkan Movie Series – Several times during the year we are offering a Sunday afternoon movie offering, led by one of our clergy members, and includes treats! To learn more, reach out to Yael Casselberry at Ycasselberry@mishkanor.org

Israeli Dance – Israeli dance is unlike any other form of dance as it expresses the history and joy of our people.
