Shabbat L’Dor Vador

We are excited to share a new opportunity at Congregation Mishkan Or designed especially for families with children in grades K–8: Shabbat L’dor Vador.

At its core, Shabbat L’dor Vador is about bringing Jewish life into the heart of your family—creating meaningful, joyful, and connected Shabbat experiences that extend beyond the classroom and into your home and community.

This new initiative is designed to complement your child’s Limmud experience (or serve as a standalone opportunity) by helping families build relationships, explore Jewish traditions, and create lasting memories together.

What Makes Shabbat L’dor Vador Unique?

  • Small group Shabbat gatherings in homes, creating warm and meaningful connections with other families
  • Community-wide Shabbat experiences at CMO, where families come together to celebrate
  • A special overnight family retreat, offering time to unplug, connect, and grow
  • Multi-generational opportunities, including inviting grandparents and extended family to join us for select Shabbat experiences

Program Dates Include:

  • August: Open House, August 24
  • Community Gatherings: October 16, December 19, May 22
  • Home-Based Shabbat Pods: November 13, January 29, February 19, March 19
